On the 24th of September, i had the chance to watch one very interesting fashion show during the Men's Fashion Week 2014 at Plaza Indonesia.
The show was very overwhelming. Both in positive and negative ways. Let's start with the negative. IT WAS SO PACKED. The MFW management made us leave the room and wait in front of the function hall while they "clean" the area. It took them a tad bit too long to clean such a small area and added with the fact that the audiences did not litter like drunken people in street parties, i really was annoyed by having to squeeze (if i lifted my legs i would still be standing) in such a small room among like 100 people. Since the crowd was much bigger than expected, some of us were told to stand on the runway. Yes, the runway. (you can see in the pictures below).
HOWEVER, the postivie overwhelming factor overshadowed the negative ones. Thus, i can't complain more than i had because OMG i was in the same room with Indonesia's top fashion bloggers, actresses, actors, models, singers and possibly Bryan Boy .. Yes, THE fashion blogger. My fave part was that everybody dressed in their own style, they were mostly in haute couture street style. There, then, i didn't feel like i was in Jakarta. PLUS, I had the chance to see Patrick Owen's collection by my own eyes. Thus, it was worth the squeeze, the wait, the everything.
In honour of the Men's Fashion Week, i decided to wear men's clothing.

The details of this shirt was the reason why i picked this shirt from my dad's wardrobe. |

My DIY torn tights - there are a million tutorials on how to make these bbys and it took me less than 10 mins :D |

My Handpicked Faves from
HEIRLOOM collection

This was my favourite. I love how the outfit got me so intrigued despite it's simplicity. The gold choker and bangles were beyond rad. It might not be wearable for some people but then again i believe in "beauty is pain" and the best part abut it is that even a girl could rock this look.
*As you can see there are people standing and sitting on the runway*
This one got me amazed as the man was simply wearing a dress.
However it looked masculine as hell. Plus, with the beads in the center of the outfit, it catches people's attentions.
This outfit got me curious about the story behind it, I mean the gradient and symbols going on in there certainly has a story behind it.
This one proved that less is more.
Last but certainly not the least, The designer himself walking down the runway.'
Clips from the show:
His style is certainly out of the box and it got my jaw dropped. He's certainly one of my favourite designer.
**I apologize for the bad quality of the pics**
