Last Sunday i attended a yellow-themed wedding and i decided to go for a different look. Thus, i avoided cocktail dresses. I definitely said no to long dresses, #1 because i am very petite and i would pretty much drown in a long dress & #2 I fear that i would look 2-3 years older in a long dress. Im not saying that girls around my age shouldn't be wearing long dresses because they would look old. In fact some girls my age can work long dresses very well, #andimsojealous

When i first saw her outfit, i fell in love with her midi skirt. She looked simple yet stunning. The best part about it was that, it wasn't too sexy that it's impossible for me to wear something similar. However, it certainly isn't appropriate for me to wear a bra-looking top to a wedding. So my designer, Steven Huang, and i decided to improvise...
My designer recommended to have the Swarovski arranged in an effortless bow tie shape but i refused mainly because my outfit was very puffy and gave out a young-spirited kind of look. So i thought a bow tie would make it look even more childish and cute. Cute was the word i was against. I mean im 16, okay that might sound very young to some of you, but IM SIXTEEN i don't want to be cute. Cute is for 10 year olds. So i requested for another design and voila!
As for the make up and hair, my designer and i came to an easy agreement. We both agreed to have a very natural looking make up. My hair was too short for an updo and iIam very self-concious when it comes to having an updo (i'll look extremely chubby). So i went for a low ponytail with some of my blonde bangs falling down naturally #1 to give a more natural look, #2 to cover a small part of my face so that i don't end up looking like a chipmunk in pictures.
Details:
I chose a nude stiletto to give an illusion of longer legs because the skirt is already pretty long that without a pair of nude heels my legs would look oh so short.
