For Her Future's Reminiscence

A few weeks ago, i visited Indonesia Fashion Week's website to check on the schedule and see which shows i could maaaybe ask around from my connections for the invitation. Then, i saw the Blogger registration page and thought i would give it a try. I mean i had nothing to lose. I eagerly signed up using my new official email for this blog and hoped for the best. Long story short, i got an email from the IFW Team telling me that i was selected to be one of their official blogger and i basically had access to all the fashion show. So, i present to you
Just like the name itself, Indonesia Fashion Week focuses on Indonesia's biggest market, Moslem wear. There were so many quirky, classic, urban hijabers coming to the event. Probably 60% of the bazaar were selling moslem wears. Though i'm not included in their main target market, i honestly think its a great strategy because it is such a huge market here in Indonesia.

Don't get me wrong, there were also Indonesian designers with fashion forward designs and concept. Though according to one of the designers i had a chat with, their booths were a little hidden to the visitors because the area of the event is so big that the bazaar itself looked like the whole event and the area near the entrance was so crowded that perhaps people couldn't be bothered to go through the maze-like arrangement and explore the whole area. Nevertheless, their sales went great.

Much to my surprise, these aren't crumpled paper printing, instead it's unpolished marble printing. The designer, Steven Huang, wanted to explore with sculpture feeling for this collection. His ready to wear designs are one of a kind.

I went around the bazaar by myself for a few hours to take in the whole ambience and actually appreciate each booth. With my limited skills of photography, i decided to snap the designs that intrigued me from afar. At first, i was intimidated to even visit a single booth let alone take a picture of it but then i counted to three, turned around and visited the booths i liked. (I literally counted to three out loud)
