Last Friday night i had the golden ticket (yes, it's golden) to watch the closing show of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 a.k.a Dewi Fashion Knights 2014, show casing 5 A-List Indonesian Designers. This year the designers are Priyo Oktaviano, Iwan Tirta, Sapto Djojokartiko, Vinora, Auguste Soesastro & Nurzahra.

Each of the designers showed great talents and ethnicity from their own style. Priyo Oktaviano used a lot of different textured fabrics and beads but for this couture collection he explored on different shades of blue. As for Iwan Tirta, they brought formal batik shirts to another different level (As always). However, their women collection had a much more modern touch to it but still shad the traditional look to it. Sapto Djokokartiko's collection for this year's DFK reminded me a lot of Elie Saabs evening gowns. He mostly used creme/beige colors with sequins. Auguste Soesatro's design was very metropolitan. Just like in the picture above, his clothes are very comfortable, breezy and simple. Nurzahra's collection brought hijabs to the runway with a very traditional style.

Above all, two particular designers wowed me that night with not only one piece, but their whole collection

The fact that he added a halter-neck collar to the dress proved that even during the fall/winter cold, you can still look gorgeous as hell.

The sequins on the skirt of the dress!! #icanteven

50 Shades of Blue + Priyo = Perfection

Somehow the face piece looks like specs to me from afar and i see all of them like sexy fab secretaries

VINORA
#GhostlyMinimalistic
THIS was my favorite piece of the NIGHT

This piece reminded me a lot of my #FairFoul mini collection with the half/half design. What amazed me was that the other half was like some lingerie dress you could buy in the dept store but with the clean suit design on the other side, it gave out a very "sexy is smart" look.

This piece got my attention because it showed just enough skin. The center part is very exposed however with the sleeve like that it gives an illusion of a conservative type of lady. #butdemthighsthough #itsnothuman #livingmannequin

I need to buy this. #enoughsaid

Her collection fall perfectly on the models not only because they had good bods but also her sewing was very clean and precise.

Iwan Tirta's style doesn't come close to mine BUT this one dress, i can't resist to not post.

I love the fact that they are following the cape trend now and mixed it with their classic dress design.

 Outfit of the Night

First things first (im da realest), that headpiece is indeed a DIY but it was supposedly a bohemian headpiece and it was supposed to be worn backwards but once i finished making it and wore it, i didnt like how i looked. I looked so awkward because from the front i looked like i was wearing a link of chain on my forehead. So i turned it around (because im that weird) and i was like hey that looks cool. Then i took my shades and voila. I found my outfit for the last night of JFW (at least a part of it).

Tbh, when i first stepped into the fashion tent with this look, my heart, it was thumping so damn hard #ohmylord. I was like o my gosh im either going to look like an aspiring fashion blogger or a kid who wore her chain necklace wrongly. The shades didn't help either. I thought i could hide in it and pretend as if no one's looking at me. HA HA i felt all eyes on me. Im not joking, wherever i turn my head to there's someone looking at me (i don't know if its in a good way or bad i was too nervous to even tell) BUT things changed quickly. Influential people in the Indonesian Fashion world rolled into the tent with their crazy dresses, hairstyles, shoes, men dresses, hats, etc. So I kinda had my heart slow down by then. Thanks to some of the JFW photographers who tried to sneak and take candid pics of me, i felt that my outfit was not as weird as i thought and in fact picture worthy #putsonshades.

The hardest part of the outfit was not pretending to look calm the first few minutes but to walk into the runway room without tripping. it was dark, like almost pitch black and i was wearing shades #darkestmomentofmylife lol.

Last but not least i'd like to thank the photographer who took all the beautiful pics i used because i now have the idea of how exhausting 7 days of nonstop standing/squatting for these pics.

Also, thanks to all the designers because thanks to you my Indo pride is like crazy high.

Im not forgetting you as well, yes you in front of the screen. Thanks for checking out my post! I wish i had my own HD pics of the fashion show. Anyways, see you next week!

Ciao!
